Fountains of Knowledge is a charitable organisation established in the early 1990s in Nelson, Lancashire, UK. The primary objective is to invite the people to Islam in accordance with the belief and methodology of the righteous predecessors. Regular study circles, reminders, conferences, publications and other activities have been a regular practice since its inception. In addition, an Islamic bookstore has also been in operation to facilitate the effort.

We are actively involved in warning against the dangers of extremism and terrorism, all of which diametrically oppose the founding principles of the charity and ethos of the school.

In the year 2002, Fountains of Knowledge responded to the urgent need to protect our children from the increasing rate of violence, drug addiction and decline in moral standards present in state schools by establishing Al-Ikhlaas Nursery and Primary School. We felt this was particularly important as education and learning has been historically linked to Islam and the development of the Muslim civilisation.

A Portfolio of our school has been compiled which contains a brief outline of the existing school and our vision detailing a project to expand the school in a new, larger building. This can be downloaded opposite.

Fountains of Knowledge is a U.K. registered charity, Number 1096607.
